I have worked with Jessica for over a decade. She started helping me after I moved permanently to Cape May, after suffering a stroke in the late 1990’s. As I ended my formal rehabilitation in Northern New Jersey, I was warned by my therapists and doctors that I was now entirely on my own and that my rehabilitation would be a life-long process.I knew I needed help! Early on, Jessica taught me that rehabilitation was not waiting for the use of a muscle to miraculously return. It involved strengthening muscles that worked, learning to compensate for those muscles that did not work and figuring out techniques to accomplish some physical tasks in a new way. Working with me one on one, she taught me to be patient with my goals and that a major part of rehab requires good physical fitness. I am eternally grateful for her knowledge, patience, kindness, intelligence and good humor!
After many attempts to stay on a diet regimen for several medical ailments I have, I was at my wit’s end. Then I spoke with Jess and she was able to help me. She asked questions about my ailments, medications, and exercise. She helped me tremendously with a food plan and exercise program. This gave me specific foods to eat and a complete lifestyle change.
